Designing these fine art paper goods and day-of decor for Bev and Jordan was an absolute dream. This custom invitation suite contained so many unique and intentional details, I was so delighted to be able to bring the couple’s paper goods vision to life.
It all started with bespoke calligraphy, hand written on each invitation. We then designed a custom wreath monogram which features throughout their entire stationery suite and day-of goods, and chose to pair these details with deckled-edge handmade paper, soft silk robin blue ribbon, peony wax seals, a custom-made wax stamp with the couple’s initials, and a custom envelope liner. The couple wrote their own vows so of course bespoke vow books on deckled-edge handmade paper with stunning silk ribbon was a must, too. Estancia La Jolla, the couple’s wedding venue features a gorgeous Olive Lawn garden where the ceremony and reception were held. As a place of significance to the couple, we created a custom watercolor landscape of the Olive Lawn and featured it on the main invitation suite envelope liners which we knew would provide added anticipation and excitement for every guest who received it. We also featured the custom watercolor landscape on the wedding day it self by creating a welcome sign at the entrance of the Olive Lawn.
We were so inspired by the way this beautiful couple wanted to shower love over their family and friends who travelled far and wide to attend their 3-day event. The couple loved the custom wreath monogram we designed for them so much they had it laser engraved on this beautiful white Yeti flask, as well as hand-piped on delicious cookies, and placed in special gift bags for each of their beloved wedding guests along with a dedicated welcome & itinerary card. And finally, the couple wanted each guest to have a personalized hand calligraphed marble arabesque place card which would double as a place card and bonbonnière at the reception.
Every couple we have the honour of working with continues to hold a special place in our hearts, and after months of design, proofs, and production it's always so exhilarating to finally see everything come together for the big day.
